What is "an encryption key"?

An encryption key is secret information used to encrypt and decrypt data. It defines the strength of an encryption algorithm. Asymmetric encryption algorithms with the key length of 256 bit, designed by MTT, are used in the Stealthphone system. 

This key length complies with the military information security standards.
